Artist Profile:

        Dick is a painter residing in Palatine, Illinois. Before pursuing watercolor painting, Dick had a successful career in graphic design and art direction in both publishing and advertising. Most recently Dick served as Sr. V.P. Executive Creative Director in a major Chicago marketing agency and worked on many national consumer accounts. He has received numerous awards nationally and internationally for his graphic design.

        Dick attended the University of Iowa as an art major and the American Academy of Art in Chicago where he studied with nationally renown watercoloist Irving Shapiro. He has participated in watercolor workshops at the Peninsula Art School in Door County, Wisconsin studying with Ratindra Das and Kari Anderson. Dick has also studied with renown watercolorists Cheng-Khee-Chee, Frank Francese, Frank Webb and Mel Stabin. His work is Represented by Gallery 10 in Gills Rock, Door County, Wisconsin and Positive Strokes Gallery in Palatine, Illinois.

        Dick's watercolor subjects are ever changing and range from scenes of his travels in Italy, France and Mexico to landscapes and insights of Door County, Wisconsin where he maintains a second Residence.
